🇦🇹 Harald Proczyk

Harald Proczyk is a retired Austrian entry-level professional who raced in multiclass endurance championships across Germany and the United States. He competed primarily in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for Team Mathol Racing e.V., driving Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars and production-based touring machinery across twelve seasons from 2010 to 2022. He also made a single start in IMSA WeatherTech's GTD class in 2017 and contested the Nürburgring 24 Hours twice, including an entry with Hyundai Motorsport N.[1]

Proczyk took three podiums across fourteen total starts. His record in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, where he concentrated most of his racing, yielded two podiums in eleven starts, while a podium finish came in his two appearances at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The span of his career showed consistency rather than progression; he raced the same series across more than a decade without moving to higher-tier competition, and his indexed starts remained sparse relative to his years in the sport.[2]

In the mixed fields of German endurance racing, Proczyk typically finished behind the established professionals who made those grids their regular home. Marc Basseng, a FIA Silver-graded driver and former Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie champion with extensive WTCC and endurance experience, regularly outpaced him. Against Niclas Jönsson, an entry-level professional of similar standing with substantial WEC and 24-hour racing on his record, Proczyk was closely matched. His most notable scalps came in isolated instances: a single finish ahead of Scott Pruett, a professional endurance driver with extensive IMSA WeatherTech experience, and one against Gustavo Menezes, an established professional and WEC LMP2 champion.
