The Porsche Sprint Challenge North America Cayman is a sprint-racing series for Porsche Cayman cars, split into a pro-am structure with a professional class mixing Silver and Bronze drivers and an amateur class of Bronze drivers. The field is competitive amateur to entry-level professional; Ford Koch, Danny Dyszelski and Alain Scalzo lead the ratings. Drivers arrive from club racing and regional series, particularly PCA Club Racing and NASA, which are substantially weaker; the series sits between those feeders and the stronger International GT and IMSA Prototype Challenge above, though some move sideways to the comparable Porsche Sprint Challenge North America GT3 Cup or down to GT4 America and IMSA Pilot Challenge. The pro-am class produces stronger pace than the amateur one and receives occasional arrivals from the higher levels.
