Alex Liu is an entry-level professional driver from Macau who raced in the World Touring Car Championship for Liqui Moly Team Engstler. His indexed racing record spans from 2009 to 2012 and consists of three starts in WTCC competition against a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and established graded professionals.[1]
Liu took three starts across two seasons in the World Touring Car Championship. He finished 26th in the 2012 championship standings. In his races he faced established professionals including three-time WTCC champion Yvan Muller and regular WTCC competitor Alain Menu, drivers against whom he consistently finished behind. He achieved finishes ahead of Pepe Oriola, an established professional with 73 WTCC starts, and Andrรฉ Couto, a professional graded Silver who had won the 2015 Super GT GT300 title.[2]
