Andy Watts was a competitive amateur racer who competed in national-level multiclass sprint racing in the United States between 2004 and 2009. He drove BMWs in the CM class of BMW CCA Club Racing, the series where he recorded nearly all of his activity, alongside a single start in NASA's GTS5 class in 2008.[1]
Across 24 starts in BMW CCA Club Racing, Watts took nine wins and 17 podiums. He was a regular front-runner in his class, consistently finishing ahead of club-level opponents including Allan Lewis and Barry Battle, both of whom he met repeatedly throughout his career. He also beat Michael Gilbert, a semi-professional competitor who had raced across multiple endurance and club series, on three occasions.[2]
