Billy Clark was a professional oval-track racing driver who competed in NASCAR Xfinity between 1987 and 1992. His career comprised 13 starts across the series' six-year span, all on oval circuits in a mixed field of amateurs, semi-professionals and graded drivers competing under a single class structure.[1]
Clark finished 44th in the NASCAR Xfinity championship standings in his final season of 1992. Across his time in the series, he was a regular opponent for Chuck Bown, the 1990 NASCAR Xfinity champion, and Tommy Houston, an entry-level professional with 417 starts in the series; Clark typically finished behind both. He did finish ahead of Jeff Gordon, an established professional and FIA Gold-graded driver, on two occasions, and ahead of Elton Sawyer, a professional competitor, six times across their meetings.[2]
