Brett Rowe is an entry-level professional stock car racer who competed in NASCAR Xfinity, a single-class national championship mixing amateur through graded professional drivers on oval and occasional road courses. He raced for multiple teams across five seasons from 2007 to 2011, most regularly for Day Enterprises Racing and Shepherd Racing Ventures, accumulating 30 starts.[1]
His NASCAR Xfinity record comprises a partial-season campaign in 2011 that yielded a 36th-place points finish after eight rounds. Across his five seasons and 30 starts, Rowe finished outside the lead lap in most races against a field that included established and elite professionals. He occasionally finished ahead of higher-ranked drivers; he beat Denny Hamlin, then competing part-time in the series while running the NASCAR Cup Series full-time, twice, and Tony Stewart once. These results were exceptions within a record dominated by finishes well behind the series' front runners and regulars.[2]
Rowe's most consistent opponents were Jason Leffler and Steve Wallace, both full-time or near-full-time competitors with substantially larger NASCAR portfolios; he finished behind them in nearly all meetings. His small operation, Day Enterprises Racing, fielded 18 drivers across its indexed results with no race wins and the strongest competitor being an established professional of considerably higher standing than Rowe himself.
