Daniela Schmid raced in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship in which drivers share cars across a season of races run at one circuit. She competed at entry-level professional level for four seasons from 2013 to 2016, primarily for Walkenhorst Motorsport, racing turbocharged production-based cars in the SP 3T class and GT3 machinery in the SP 9 class.[1]
Schmid took four wins and fourteen podiums across thirty-six starts. She won the 2014 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship with LMS Engineering. Her final indexed season, 2016, saw her finish thirty-eighth in the championship standings after competing in six rounds.[2]
In a field spanning amateurs through to graded professionals, Schmid typically finished behind entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded regulars such as Thorsten Wolter, though she ran closely with semi-professional competitors. She finished ahead of established professionals including Maro Engel, a GT World Challenge Europe champion, and Rene Rast, a three-time DTM champion, in single meetings each.
