Dante Tornello is a competitive amateur, with a Racer Rating of 2,637. This places him at the front of club racing and entry-level professional ranks; the level at which drivers are genuinely quick and race against professionals, though typically not among the established full-time competitive field.[1]

Tornello's racing record consists of a single season in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin in 2022, fielded by Hixon Motor Sports. Across eight starts, he did not register a podium finish and averaged 22nd place. His primary rivals in the series were semi-professional and professional drivers; he finished ahead of them rarely but notably, beating FIA Gold-graded Connor Zilisch once and FIA Silver-graded Aaron Jeansonne and Jared Thomas on single occasions each. Against Anthony Mcintosh, an FIA Bronze driver and multiple-time Lamborghini Super Trofeo champion, Tornello held an even head-to-head record across their eight shared races. The bulk of the field, however, proved stronger; he was outfinished by Zilisch in seven races and Jared Thomas, who would go on to win the series championship three years running, in seven of eight meetings.

Tornello retired from racing after the 2022 season. His single campaign demonstrated competitive speed against a field of higher-rated semi-professionals, though the results did not translate into race finishes or progression to further seasons.
