🇺🇸 Dave Mader III

Dave Mader III is an entry-level professional competing in national single-class oval racing. He raced NASCAR Xfinity across seven seasons from 1986 to 1992, then returned to compete in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards East between 2020 and 2022, driving the No. 63 Chevrolet for Diamond C Ranch and PRW LLC.[1]

Across 34 starts in these three series, Mader has taken one podium, all of it in the ARCA Menards Series. His NASCAR Xfinity career spanned 22 starts across that seven-year stretch; he finished 38th in the championship standings in his final season in 1992. His return to racing came nearly three decades later, when he contested 10 starts in the ARCA Menards Series between 2018 and 2022, recording his sole top-three finish among those entries. He also made two starts in ARCA Menards East in 2020.[2]

In ARCA, Mader ran against established professionals and fellow entry-level competitors on a grid mixing amateurs through graded drivers. He was closely matched with Tommy Houston, an entry-level professional regular in NASCAR Xfinity, and generally finished behind Jimmy Hensley, a professional who had logged considerably more NASCAR Xfinity starts. He finished ahead of Jeff Gordon and Riley Herbst once each, both established professionals with significant touring series experience.
