🇺🇸 David Ogburn

David Ogburn is an entry-level professional racing in national multiclass endurance and sprint series. He drives a GT4 car in the Am class of GT4 America, an FIA Bronze-graded driver competing in a mixed amateur and professional field. His primary focus remains SCCA Majors, where he races a one-design Spec Racer Ford across six seasons; he also competes in endurance racing at the Nürburgring, most recently for AV Racing by BLACK FALCON.[1]

Ogburn has spent 2021 to 2026 building his record across SCCA's national circuit and European endurance racing. His strongest results come from SCCA Majors, where he has taken 12 wins and 20 podiums in 31 starts, establishing him as a regular frontrunner in that series. In GT4 America, he took two podiums from three starts in 2025. His European campaign began in 2026; he claimed two wins in six starts for BLACK FALCON in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and competed in the Nürburgring 24 Hours. He has finished on the podium at the SCCA Runoffs, the national amateur championship, and holds a win from three SCCA Regionals starts.[2]

Within his most regular competition, Ogburn typically finishes ahead of developing and semi-professional rivals of similar experience. He has on occasion beaten much stronger drivers; he finished ahead of Timo Bernhard, a 2016 WEC LMP1 champion and established professional, and Jörg Bergmeister, an IMSA WeatherTech regular and Platinum-graded driver, both in endurance racing where multiple drivers share each car and grid composition is mixed. His record in single-driver SCCA Majors racing, where the field runs from amateurs to professionals in equal competition, shows his pace within an established national series.
