David Rowlison is a club-level driver who raced BMW CCA Club Racing, a multiclass national championship mixing amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers on road and street courses in the United States. He competed in the IP class, which runs BMWs.[1]
Between 2005 and 2008 Rowlison took 16 starts across four seasons in BMW CCA Club Racing, scoring two wins and eight podiums. His most recent season was 2008, when he won one race and finished thirteenth in the championship standings.[2]
Rowlison typically finished ahead of his regular competitors in the field. He beat Davis Rieman Jr, the 2006 BMW CCA Club Racing IP champion, across multiple meetings, and also ran consistently ahead of Stephen Ayers. His record includes a win over Randy Mueller, a competitive amateur graded FIA Bronze who went on to race extensively in GTSU and endurance series.
