Reid finished 43rd in the final standings in 2000, his last year of racing. He ran most often against established professionals; he regularly finished behind Elton Sawyer and Mike McLaughlin, both of whom had significantly more Xfinity experience. Reid beat Sawyer once and finished ahead of Jeff Purvis twice across his career.[2]
