Tim Fedewa is a professional driver who spent fourteen seasons racing in NASCAR Xfinity, the national single-class championship. He drove for FitzBradshaw Racing across that span, competing primarily on oval tracks. He retired from active racing in 2005 and has since worked in a support role within professional motorsport, currently serving as spotter for Ryan Blaney's NASCAR Cup Series team at Team Penske.[1]
Fedewa compiled four wins and fourteen podiums across 333 starts in Xfinity between 1992 and 2005, finishing 44th in the final championship standings in his final season. He was a regular in the series throughout the 1990s and 2000s, racing against established competitors at that level. His record against Jason Keller, a professional with over five hundred Xfinity starts, was closely matched. Against 1994 Xfinity champion David Green, also a regular in the series, Fedewa typically finished behind him. He beat Denny Hamlin, who went on to establish himself as an elite professional in NASCAR's top series, once in their meetings; he also finished ahead of Tony Stewart across their twenty-two races together in Xfinity, though Stewart was a more established competitor by that time. Fedewa's strongest period of affiliation was with RaDiius Motorsports, for which he drove in 83 of his starts; that team's win total across all drivers came to one race in the indexed record.[2]
