Barroso was closely matched with Aldo Ortiz, a club-level regular in the same series, and usually finished behind Matías Funes, a competitive amateur who raced TC Mouras consistently during his career. He beat entry-level professionals Santiago Mangoni and Juan José Ebarlín, both significantly more experienced competitors with records in higher-tier Argentine touring car championships, though their head-to-heads were few; against Mangoni across their four meetings Barroso prevailed in all four, and he finished ahead of Ebarlín seven times in their encounters.[2]
