Hailie Deegan is an entry-level professional competing in a national single-class stock car championship and open-wheel series. She drives the No. 16 Chevrolet SS for Bill McAnally Racing in the ARCA Menards Series West and competes part-time in Indy NXT for HMD Motorsports. Her rating of 3,331 places her in the entry-level professional band, meaning she races regularly against established professionals and semi-professionals but typically finishes outside the front running.[1]

Deegan has competed across eight seasons since 2019, primarily in oval-track stock car racing. She has logged 69 starts in NASCAR Truck, 27 in the ARCA Menards Series, 18 in NASCAR Xfinity, and 14 in Indy NXT so far in 2025; her five career podiums span ARCA Menards, ARCA Menards West, and IMSA Pilot Challenge. In ARCA Menards competition, where she has spent most of her time, she has raced on ovals for the majority of her starts and taken three podiums across two separate campaigns with Bill McAnally's operation. In the national stock car fields she inhabits most regularly, Deegan finishes typically behind Chandler Smith, the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity champion who has logged more than 200 starts across NASCAR's top three series. She runs closely matched with Tanner Gray, a regular competitor across NASCAR Truck and ARCA Menards with 158 and 21 starts respectively in those series. Against the strongest drivers she has encountered, she has finished ahead of Ty Gibbs, a two-time ARCA Menards Series champion, and Chase Briscoe, the 2016 ARCA champion, though both remain significantly more experienced professionals with far deeper resumes in NASCAR's premier and intermediate series.
