Hugo Schwarze is a professional endurance racing driver competing in LMP3 prototypes for R-ace GP in the European Le Mans Series and Le Mans Cup. Graded FIA Silver, he races in a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. His record spans three seasons from 2024, built largely on shared-car racing; he also contested a season of solo British single-seater racing in GB3 for VRD Racing.[1]
Schwarze took the 2025 Le Mans Cup championship with R-ace GP, winning three of five rounds and taking a podium finish in every race. That same year he competed in the Road to Le Mans support series for the same team, finishing on the podium in both rounds. His GB3 campaign in 2024โ2025 yielded one win and two additional podiums across 34 starts. In 2026 he stepped up to the European Le Mans Series with R-ace GP, recording one win and two podiums from five rounds in the LMP3 class; he has also taken starts in the Asian Le Mans Series and the Nรผrburgring Langstrecken-Serie for R-ace GP and TOYOTA RACING UNITED respectively, and competed in the Nรผrburgring 24 Hours for Teichmann Racing.[2]
In GB3, Schwarze regularly encountered William Macintyre, a professional with 39 starts in that championship, and Patrick Heuzenroeder, another professional competitor with 46 GB3 starts; he typically finished behind Macintyre but was closely matched with Heuzenroeder. In endurance racing he has beaten established professionals including Martinius Stenshorne, a Formula 2 driver with 30 single-seater starts, and Hiyu Yamakoshi, a Formula 3 competitor. His main base has been Elite Motorsport, which fielded him for 21 starts across multiple series; that team has won 34 races across its full operation and counts the professional McKenzy Cresswell among its drivers.
