🇬🇧 William Macintyre

William Macintyre is a professional single-seater driver competing in British national championships. He races for Elite Motorsport in GB3, a national single-class series that fields amateurs and semi-professionals alongside graded professionals. His career spans four seasons from 2022 onwards, with 72 starts across GB3, British F4, and GB4.[1]

Macintyre finished 2023 as British F4 vice-champion, taking 2 wins and 14 podiums from 30 starts with Hitech Pulse-Eight. His progression to GB3 began that year and has continued through 2024 and into 2025, where he has taken 4 wins and 9 podiums across 39 starts for Elite Motorsport. He typically finishes ahead of Patrick Heuzenroeder, a professional with significant experience across both series. Against Louis Sharp, the 2023 British F4 champion and 2024 GB3 champion, Macintyre has been closely matched; Sharp brings Formula 3 and international racing to the field, and the two remain competitive against one another.[2]

Macintyre has beaten established professionals including Martinius Stenshorne, who has raced Formula 2 and Formula 3, and Hiyu Yamakoshi, a driver with experience across Formula 3 and Formula Regional European. These results place him as a competitive force in his domestic field rather than isolated within it. His racing was halted in September 2025 by a cancer diagnosis.
