🇩🇪 Mike Ortmann

Mike Ortmann is a professional racing driver rated FIA Silver, competing in endurance racing. His career spans single-seater and sportscar competition, most substantially in ADAC Formula 4 where he took 43 starts across 2015 and 2016 with ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., recording three wins and ten podiums. He has since raced in ADAC GT Masters as a shared-car driver for GRT Grasser Racing Team and in 2026 joined Heart of Racing Team for IMSA Pilot Challenge in the GS class, driving a GT4-level production-based sports car.[1]

His early record in Formula 4 established him among the field's mid-tier runners. A brief venture into Italian F4 in 2015 yielded eighteen championship points across four rounds. His move into endurance racing in 2021 has kept him active at professional level; his sole IMSA Pilot Challenge appearance came at the start of 2026. Throughout his career he has regularly encountered drivers of his own standing, running closely matched against Kim-Luis Schramm and Jannes Fittje, both FIA Silver professionals with similar racing histories in German single-seaters and ADAC GT Masters.[2]

Ortmann has occasionally finished ahead of much stronger drivers. He beat Maro Engel, the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion, once across their meetings, and finished ahead of Charles Weerts, a three-time GT World Challenge Europe champion, twice. These remain exceptions in a career spent alongside and behind regulars of his own level rather than the established professionals who share his grid.
