James Walker Jr. is an entry-level professional competing in GT4 America, a national multiclass endurance series in which drivers share BMW GT4 cars across Am and Pro-Am class entries. He races for BimmerWorld, an established team in the category. Walker holds the FIA Bronze grade, the amateur classification within GT and endurance racing; he sits below the Silver-graded drivers moving toward the professional ranks and well below the full-time Gold and Platinum professionals on the grid.[1]
Walker won the 2023 GT4 America championship in his first indexed season and has taken six wins and twenty podiums across forty-three starts in the series through 2025. His 2026 campaign, currently halfway through the season, shows him third in the championship standings with five podiums so far from eleven rounds raced. He regularly finishes ahead of Tyler Stone, another Bronze-graded entry-level professional, and runs closely matched with Curt Swearingin, a Bronze-graded professional and 2024 GT4 America Pro-Am champion. Walker has beaten the much stronger professionals Roman De Angelis and Ian James, both FIA Gold-graded drivers with substantial records in IMSA WeatherTech and international endurance racing; he has finished ahead of De Angelis five times and James twice across their meetings.[2]
