Jean-Marie Rathje was a club-level driver racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship in which shared turbocharged production-based cars compete alongside prototypes and other classes. He drove the SP 3T class for Car #300 across two seasons from 2010 to 2011.[1]
Rathje made seven starts in the series and took two podiums. He finished 24th in the 2011 championship standings. His record included a finish ahead of Bernd Schneider, a Gold-graded established professional and former 1997 FIA GT champion who had also raced Formula 1, and another ahead of Christian Krognes, a Gold-graded established professional and 2012 SP 3T series champion with 86 starts in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. Against his regular opponents he was closely matched with Mike Jäger, a professional and two-time SP 8 class champion, though he typically finished behind Christoph Breuer, the SP 3T class champion in 2010, 2013 and 2015.[2]
