Jerry Taylor is an entry-level professional competing in single-class and multiclass road racing championships at the national level in the United States. His indexed record spans NASCAR Xfinity in the early 1980s and, more recently, SCCA Regionals, where he races B-Spec and ITB classes in near-stock and lightly modified production cars.[1]

Taylor's NASCAR Xfinity career comprised six oval starts in 1982 and 1983 against a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. He raced regularly against established professionals including Sam Ard, a two-time Xfinity champion, and Dale Arnold Jarrett, a veteran of over 300 Xfinity starts; Taylor typically finished behind both. He has beaten each of them once, along with Charlie Luck, a Bronze-graded professional with over 100 Xfinity starts and GT World Challenge America experience.[2]

Taylor's current activity is in SCCA Regionals, where he has taken one podium from two rounds so far in 2026 and sits 15th in the championship standings as the season continues. His multiclass field includes competitors ranging from club level through graded professionals sharing the same races across 25 classes.
