Josef Peters was a German racing driver from Düsseldorf who made a single Formula 1 World Championship start in 1952 for the Veritas team at the German Grand Prix on August 3. He failed to finish the race and scored no championship points.[1]
Peters' career record comprises only that one Grand Prix appearance. Veritas, the constructor he drove for, was a small outfit with no race wins across its history and a driver roster that included considerably stronger competitors; Hans Herrmann, the team's most accomplished driver, operated at a markedly higher level of competition. Peters retired from motor racing after his sole World Championship attempt.[2]
