Klaus Werner was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship run entirely in Germany. He raced Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars in the Cup 2 class and competed in the SP 5 class across five starts for Car #110 and Car #234 between 2010 and 2011.[1]
Werner contested two seasons in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and finished twenty-first in the championship standings in his final year. His record in the series placed him between semi-professional competition and club-level drivers; he typically finished behind Tobias Neuser, a competitive amateur with twenty-one starts in the championship, but occasionally finished ahead of Thomas Kappeler, who would go on to win both the SP 5 title in 2011 and the Cup 2 title in 2016. Werner also finished ahead of Christian Engelhart, a professional Gold-graded driver with extensive experience across GT World Challenge Europe and ADAC GT Masters.[2]
