Matt Johnson is a semi-professional driver competing in national solo-driver racing. His indexed record spans two series across 2006 to 2026, with five starts; he is currently racing in the Velocity Invitational, where he sits 18th in the championship standings so far, driving a 2000 Porsche GT3R.[1]

Johnson's racing history is sparse and episodic. He made four starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals, a national multiclass championship where TaG Senior competitors share the track with drivers across eight classes ranging from amateurs to graded professionals. His current activity is the Velocity Invitational, where one round has been completed to date and the season remains in progress.[2]

In the SKUSA SuperNationals, Johnson has raced regularly against Danny Formal, a three-time Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA Pro champion and FIA Silver graded professional, and typically finished behind him. He has also competed alongside Joel Miller, an entry-level professional and 2024 Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA ProAm champion, and has usually outpaced him. Among the established professionals he has raced, Johnson has beaten both Michael Valiante, a 2015 IMSA WeatherTech champion, and Dennis Olsen, an FIA Platinum graded driver with 28 Formula Renault Eurocup starts and experience in DTM and the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, once each.
