Jose Chocron is a semi-professional racing driver who competed in Trans-Am, a national multiclass championship run in the United States. He raced a tube-frame V8 silhouette car in the TA class, the series' premier single-driver category. His career on record spans two seasons, from 2021 to 2022, during which he made five starts.[1]
Chocron finished eighth in the Trans-Am TA championship standings in 2022, his final season of racing. He raced against a field that included established professionals and entry-level graded drivers; Chris Dyson, a three-time TA champion by the time they met, finished ahead of Chocron in most encounters, though Chocron beat him once. Chocron was closely matched with two regular opponents, Tomy Drissi and Amy Ruman, both entry-level professionals with substantial Trans-Am experience, and also bested Boris Said, a FIA Silver-graded driver, twice across their meetings.[2]
