Matthew Gerdisch is a semi-professional racing in a national multiclass amateur and professional championship. He competes in the SCCA's regional circuit, racing spec Mazda MX-5s in the SMX class and occasionally the T3 class alongside 24 other classes on the same track in a mixed-ability field.[1]
Gerdisch has raced six times since his first indexed season in 2024, taking four podium finishes across SCCA Regionals and two starts in SCCA Majors. In his first year he claimed four podiums from four starts in Regionals. He returned to Regionals in 2025 alongside his two appearances in Majors, and sits 7th in the 2026 Regionals championship standings with two podiums from two rounds so far this season.[2]
