Jim Farley is a semi-professional racing driver competing in national multiclass endurance and sprint championships in the United States. He holds an FIA Bronze grade, the amateur classification in sportscar racing. Farley races for Wheelhouse Motorsports in the Mustang Challenge, driving a Ford Mustang Dark Horse R in the DH class, and competes in shared-driver endurance racing through the World Racing League in its GTO class. He has also raced in IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and Historic Sportscar Racing.[1]
Across four seasons from 2023 to 2026, Farley has made 18 starts and taken one podium. That finish came in a solo-driver Historic Sportscar Racing event in 2026. His regular seat is in the Mustang Challenge, where he has entered 10 times for Wheelhouse Motorsports since 2024. He has also contested four rounds of IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge in 2023, three World Racing League rounds in 2026 to date, and a single Historic Sportscar Racing start that produced his only top-three result. The 2026 World Racing League season remains in progress with three rounds completed so far.[2]
Farley typically finishes behind his most frequent competitors. He has raced regularly against Devin Anderson and Sandy Satullo, both entry-level professionals with significantly deeper records in single-make and club racing, and has usually trailed them both. He has finished ahead of Luca Mars, a professional and FIA Silver-graded driver who won the 2024 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge GSX championship and the 2025 IMSA Pilot Challenge GS title, once, and has beaten Nate Cicero, another FIA Silver professional, in a single meeting.
