🇺🇸 Max Hewitt

Max Hewitt is an entry-level professional racing in national GT and sports car championships in the United States. Graded FIA Silver, he competes in multiclass endurance and sprint GT racing, driving GT4 machinery for van der Steur Racing in GT4 America and GT America since 2025. His earlier indexed racing includes single-seater and club-level circuit racing from 2018 onwards.[1]

Hewitt has raced across four series in seven seasons on record. In SCCA Majors, a national 25-class championship where he runs spec Mazda MX-5 Miatas, he made 20 starts from 2023 to 2025 and took three podiums. His stronger results came in SCCA Regionals, where he won four races and took six podiums from seven starts in 2023 and 2024. He contested Formula Regional Americas, a single-seater championship mixing amateurs and professionals, in 2023 with 12 starts and no podiums. Since moving to GT racing in 2025, he has taken two wins and four podiums in four GT America starts and added one podium in ten GT4 America endurance races, combining for 14 starts in graded sportscar racing.[2]

Hewitt runs closely with Logan Stretch, an entry-level professional who competes regularly in the same SCCA Majors field; Stretch typically finishes ahead. His most significant results have come against stronger opposition: he finished ahead of Anthony McIntosh, a professional and three-time Lamborghini Super Trofeo champion, twice in 2025, and beat Kenton Koch, an established professional and Gold-graded driver who won both the 2025 GT World Challenge America Pro and the 2025 GT4 America Silver title, once in endurance racing.
