Patty Moise was an entry-level professional racing in NASCAR Xfinity, a single-class national stock car championship that runs amateurs and semi-professionals alongside established professionals. She spent 12 seasons in the series from 1986 to 1998, primarily at Michael Waltrip Racing. Nearly all of her 133 starts came on oval tracks, where she competed against a field that included drivers ranging from developing amateurs to seasoned professionals.[1]

Moise ran the full season once, in 1998, when she finished 43rd in the championship standings across 19 rounds. She was a regular on the Xfinity grid throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, racing most frequently against Elton Sawyer and Tommy Houston, both entry-level professionals with hundreds of Xfinity starts between them; she typically finished behind both drivers. She recorded wins against some of the strongest names in the series during this period, including established professionals Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr., beating Stewart four times in their head-to-head meetings and Earnhardt Jr. twice.[2]
