Sano was an entry-level professional racing in international multiclass endurance series; FIA Silver graded. He competed in LMP3 prototypes for TKS, a small team fielding entry-level professionals, across Road to Le Mans and Le Mans Cup from 2017 to 2018.[1]
His indexed racing career spanned two seasons and six starts, all in shared-car LMP3 competition. He raced Road to Le Mans in 2017 and 2018, then made two appearances in Le Mans Cup in 2018. The field he competed in mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals in the same races. In that context, he finished ahead of professional drivers including FIA Silver graded Lucas Legeret and the more experienced Bronze graded professional Alexandre Coigny, whom he met regularly and matched closely across several races.[2]
