🇨🇭 Antonin Borga

Antonin Borga is a Swiss professional endurance racing driver rated 4,468, competing at the level below the established professionals in FIA grading terms. He raced across six seasons from 2017 to 2023, primarily for Cool Racing in multiclass endurance championships. His career comprised 27 starts in the World Endurance Championship, European Le Mans Series, Le Mans Cup, the 24 Hours Series, and GT World Challenge Europe, where he drove prototypes and GT machinery in shared-driver formats across fields mixing amateurs with graded professionals.[1]

Borga took one win across his career, a podium finish in WEC in 2019 or 2020, and four podiums overall. His most sustained results came in the World Endurance Championship, where he started seven times for Cool Racing and finished on the podium twice. He also podiumed twice in the 24 Hours Series in 2018. His peak performances brought him against established competitors; he finished ahead of established professionals Kenta Yamashita four times and António Félix da Costa three times, the latter a two-time WEC LMP2 champion and 2019 Formula E champion.[2]

In regular competition Borga was closely matched with Job Van Uitert, a Gold-graded professional with extensive single-seater and endurance racing behind him, but typically finished behind Philip Hanson, also Gold-graded and far more experienced in WEC, where Hanson had 53 starts to Borga's seven. Cool Racing, the team fielding him for 14 of his 27 starts, is an established operation with eight race wins on record and Nicolas Lapierre, an established professional, among its drivers.
