Bathurst 12 Hour is an endurance GT championship run in multiple classes; the PRO class runs GT3 machinery and fields established professionals, while the BRO, PAM and SIL classes combine gentlemen and young drivers; GT4 and an invitation class complete the grid. The professional ranks include drivers of elite calibre such as Broc Feeney, Charles Weerts and Maro Engel; the series' overall strength of field is established professional, slightly stronger than the GT World Challenge Europe peer it shares drivers with, though it sits below the WEC. Drivers arrive regularly from higher international series including the 24H Series, GT World Challenge Europe and WEC, and the series functions as a stepping stone upward to the European Le Mans Series and other elite championships.
