The GT Winter Series is a multi-class GT racing championship featuring GT3 machinery alongside one-make cup cars. The field spans professional and amateur drivers; the GT3 class draws predominantly Silver-graded professionals and Bronze-graded amateurs, whilst the cup classes are mixed throughout. Felipe Massa and Frederik Schandorff anchor the grid's upper end. The series sits in the secondary tier of European sportscar racing, drawing drivers from the 24H Series and Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie whilst feeding upward to the Asian Le Mans Series and European Le Mans Series; its strongest class compares closely to the 24H Series but falls some distance below GT World Challenge Europe and the major international championships.
