Stock Light is a Brazilian touring car sprint series that returned in 2018 under its current name, succeeding a lineage of Stock Car categories that began in 1993. The series runs unspecified touring cars and serves as the official pathway to Stock Car Pro Series, with the champion receiving a substantial scholarship into that higher category. The field comprises entry-level professionals and semi-professionals, stronger than the amateur-focused grassroots series below it but markedly weaker than Stock Car Pro Series itself. Alfredinho Ibiapina and Leonardo Reis lead the current roster. Stock Light functions as a genuine stepping stone; drivers arrive from feeder and peer single-seaters and progress upward to Stock Car Pro Series with regularity, while some move sideways into peer touring car competition or endurance racing at lower levels.
