Aaron Fike is an entry-level professional who raced in NASCAR Xfinity from 2004 to 2006. He competed for Kevin Harvick, Inc. and Curb Agajanian Motorsports across 52 starts in the series, a national championship mixing amateur, semi-professional and graded professionals on oval tracks. His racing career spanned three seasons before he stepped away from competition.[1]
Fike finished 43rd in the 2006 Xfinity championship standings in what proved to be his final season. Across his time in the series, he routinely ran behind established professionals; he finished behind both Stacy Compton and Ashton Lewis with regularity, each of whom brought significantly more experience to the grid. His strongest showings came against higher-calibre drivers in one-off meetings; he finished ahead of Denny Hamlin on eight occasions and Tony Stewart four times, though Hamlin and Stewart were far better drivers racing in Xfinity between other commitments at higher levels. His record reflects a driver competing solidly within the national field but unable to establish himself at the front of a mixed-amateur grid.[2]
