Stevie Reeves was an entry-level professional racing driver who competed in NASCAR Xfinity and IndyCar as a solo driver in single-class championships. He raced for Donald Laird Racing in his primary Xfinity campaign and made four starts in IndyCar for Logan Racing, all on oval tracks.[1]
Reeves accumulated 89 starts across six seasons from 1994 to 2000. His NASCAR Xfinity career spanned five years with 85 starts, the vast majority on ovals; he also made four IndyCar starts in 1998 and 1999. His best finish in points came in 1998 Xfinity, when he placed 44th in the championship standings. He finished ahead of Tony Stewart, the 1997 IndyCar champion, on six occasions, and beat Dale Earnhardt Jr., the 1998 and 1999 Xfinity champion, three times.[2]
Reeves raced regularly against professional drivers with extensive experience in Xfinity; Jason Keller and Tim Fedewa, both professionals with hundreds of starts each in the series, typically finished ahead of him. His record against the field showed him competitive enough to occasionally beat established drivers, but he remained a mid-pack regular throughout his career in both series.
