Zonca competed in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals in shared-car racing. His record placed him closely matched against professional opponents including Mike Hezemans, an FIA Silver-graded driver with 117 FIA GT Championship starts, and Christian Pescatori, who had raced both the FIA GT Championship and International Formula 3000. Zonca finished ahead of Pescatori once and also beat Dieter Quester, a professional with 21 FIA GT Championship starts to his name. He drove two rounds for Racing Box, a team that fielded eight drivers across the index without recording a race win.[2]
