AJ Alsup is a semi-professional racing in multiclass endurance series; his primary experience comes from American Endurance Racing, where he has competed across its Class 3, 4 and 5 production-car fields since 2016. He joined Retro Rockets Racing for the 2026 Zenith Racing Series season, racing GT4-class machinery in that series' ZR2 class alongside his ongoing American Endurance Racing campaign.[1]

Over a decade of competition, Alsup has taken 10 wins and 27 podiums from 50 starts. American Endurance Racing accounts for nine of those wins and 21 podiums across 40 starts; he added his first Zenith Racing Series win in his tenth start for the new team. The 2026 Zenith season is still in progress, and Alsup currently leads the championship standings with one win and six podiums from the rounds completed so far.[2]

In American Endurance Racing, Alsup runs in a field mixing amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals. He is closely matched against Mike Dipillo, a three-time Class 4 champion in the series, and typically finishes behind Alex Rubenstein, a three-time Class 4 champion with more extensive road racing experience across multiple series. He has beaten professional-level drivers including David Russell, an FIA Silver-graded driver with Supercars Championship and Bathurst 12 Hour entries, on two occasions, and Misha Goikhberg, an FIA Bronze-graded professional with significant IMSA WeatherTech and Trans-Am experience.
