John Oldt is a competitive amateur racing in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass national endurance championship where he shares a car across multiple drivers and competes in Classes 2, 3 and 4 with production-based machinery. He has also raced NASA's multiclass solo sprint series and currently competes in World Racing League's endurance format. His primary focus has been American Endurance Racing since 2020.[1]
Across 115 career starts between 2006 and 2026, Oldt has taken 18 wins and 65 podiums. He won NASA championships in 2012 and 2013, racing Hondas in the Honda Challenge 1 class and closed-wheel cars in Super Touring 2. His American Endurance Racing record spans seven seasons of competition; he finished second in the 2026 championship standings. His current World Racing League campaign is in progress across three rounds so far, with Oldt running 29th in the standings.[2]
In American Endurance Racing, Oldt regularly races against Mike Dipillo and Matt Ivey, both competitive amateurs like himself and multi-time American Endurance Racing Class 4 champions. The three are closely matched through multiple seasons. Oldt has also beaten entry-level professionals including Preston Brown, an IMSA Pilot Challenge competitor with 45 starts in that series, and Wyatt Foster, an FIA Bronze-graded driver with international GT racing experience.
