Alex Ciompi is a professional driver from Italy who raced in Formula V8 3.5, a single-class open-wheel championship that ran amateur and semi-professional competitors alongside graded professionals. He drove for EuroInternational during his indexed career.[1]
Ciompi's record spans one season in 2007, when he took seven starts in Formula V8 3.5 and finished 28th in the championship standings. He scored occasional results against the field's strongest drivers, finishing ahead of Bertrand Baguette, who would go on to win the title in 2009, and Davide Valsecchi, the 2012 GP2 Series champion, once each. However, he regularly finished behind Giedo Van Der Garde and Filipe Albuquerque, both established professionals who later became established fixtures at the highest levels of international motorsport.[2]
