His results placed him closely matched against Jake Hughes, the 2013 GB3 champion, an established professional and FIA Gold-graded driver who would go on to race Formula E, Formula 3 and GP3 Series. Dalton beat Hughes nine times across the season and regularly finished ahead of Diego Menchaca, a professional then building experience across GB3, Formula V8 3.5 and GP3. He also beat Ross Gunn, a Platinum-graded professional with subsequent experience in IMSA WeatherTech and the World Endurance Championship, ten times over the course of the season.[2]
