Bobby Allison was a professional stock car racing driver competing in NASCAR Xfinity, the national-level American oval-track championship. His indexed record spans from 1982 to 1988, when he was based primarily in that series alongside his concurrent career in NASCAR Cup and other racing programmes. Allison raced ovals throughout his Xfinity tenure.[1]

Across 43 starts in the series, Allison took two wins and nine podium finishes. His most recent season of record came in 1988, when he scored a win and three podiums across five rounds before finishing 19th in the championship standings. His regular competitors in Xfinity included Jack Ingram, a two-time series champion who raced the circuit across 275 starts, with whom Allison was closely matched; and Tommy Houston, an entry-level professional and regular Xfinity opponent. Allison finished ahead of Sam Ard, an established professional and two-time Xfinity champion, on nine occasions, and ahead of Elton Sawyer, a professional with 392 Xfinity starts, eight times.[2]
