He raced in the FIA GT Championship across twelve seasons from 1997 to 2008, piloting shared-drive cars for teams including Paul Belmondo Racing. He also competed once in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in 2019, racing a modified production-based car in its SP 3 class.[1]
Across his career Duez took 31 starts in the FIA GT Championship, accumulating 2 wins and 9 podium finishes. He was a regular fixture in a field that mixed amateurs with graded professionals and semi-professionals. His most accomplished result came against established professionals; he finished ahead of Formula 1 drivers Alex Caffi and Alessandro Nannini, each once. In the FIA GT field he was closely matched with Mike Hezemans, a Silver-graded professional, and Stéphane Ortelli, a Gold-graded professional who also raced the World Touring Car Championship and GT World Challenge Europe.[2]
