Billy Jack Smith is a competitive amateur racing in the World Racing League, a national multiclass endurance championship. He races the GP1 class, driving production-based cars, for Cajun Canuck Racing. His first indexed season began in 2026.[1]

Smith has taken one win and one podium from four starts so far this season. He sits eleventh in the championship standings with more rounds still to come. In a field that spans amateur and semi-professional drivers alongside graded professionals, he has finished ahead of Mateo Siderman, an entry-level professional and FIA Silver-graded driver who won the 2026 GP1 East title, twice; he has also beaten Olivier Piatek, another entry-level professional and 2026 GP1 East champion, once. Against his most frequent opponents, Smith usually finishes ahead of Abby Lockwood, a fellow competitive amateur and 2026 GP1 East champion, and runs closely matched with Paul Weismann, a competitive amateur with substantial endurance racing experience across multiple series.[2]
