Blair Robertshaw is a competitive amateur, rated 2,970; this places him at the front of club racing and the entry level of professional fields. He competed in a single season of single-seater racing during 2012, entering two rounds of the Star Mazda Championship for his own outfit, Robertshaw Racing. Across those two starts he did not score a podium finish, with an average result of 13th place; his best classified finish in the series was 21st overall.[1]
Within his limited race record, Robertshaw finished ahead of several drivers who would go on to establish themselves at higher levels of professional racing. He beat Gustavo Menezes once, a driver who would later win the 2016 WEC LMP2 championship and achieve a FIA Gold grading; he also defeated Juan Piedrahita, a FIA Silver-graded professional, and Zach Veach, another Gold-graded driver who later competed in IndyCar. These results are isolated instances rather than patterns of dominance, and Robertshaw's own limited activity gives them modest context. His racing career ended after 2012, and he has not returned to competition since.
