Christopher Childs is a competitive amateur racing solo in national multiclass championships run by the SCCA. He competes primarily in SCCA Regionals, where he drives small-bore production-based tuner cars in the STL class and limited-modification production cars in the ITS class, and races occasionally in SCCA Majors in the STL class.[1]

Across six seasons from 2021 to 2026, Childs has accumulated 42 starts with 17 wins and 29 podiums. His record in SCCA Regionals, where he has made 24 starts, shows 14 wins and 22 podiums; in SCCA Majors, 17 starts have yielded 3 wins and 7 podiums. He made a single appearance at the 2021 SCCA Runoffs. The bulk of his success has come in Regionals, where he consistently runs near the front of the STL field.[2]

Childs races in fields that mix amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers on the same grid. He usually finishes ahead of Theodore Cahall, a club-level driver and two-time SCCA Regionals STL champion with 152 Regionals starts, but consistently runs behind Danny Steyn, a semi-professional with four consecutive SCCA Majors STL titles and 110 Majors starts. He has beaten entry-level professionals Noah Harmon and Max Schweid once each, both drivers with significantly deeper experience in national and national-level series.
