Clinton Schoombee is a competitive amateur. His rating of 2,474 places him at the front of club racing, a level where quick and typically self-funded drivers race against professionals rather than with them. Over five seasons from 2007 to 2011, Schoombee made five starts at the SKUSA SuperNationals, a major karting event, without recording a win or podium finish. His average finishing position across all classified starts was 15th.[1]
Against the semi-professional drivers who formed his regular field, Schoombee held a mixed record. He finished ahead of Derek Crockett twice in three meetings, recorded a 2-1 advantage over Christopher Barkley, and held an identical 2-1 record against Keenan Schmitke in their shared races; he beat Nick Lucido in all three encounters. His most notable individual results came when he finished ahead of established professionals: he beat Memo Gidley, a Bronze-graded driver and 2023 GT America SRO3 champion; Bryce Miller, who holds a Silver grade; and Victor Carbone. These were isolated outings rather than patterns of competition, but they illustrate the calibre occasionally present at the SuperNationals field. Schoombee has not raced since 2011 and is now retired.
