🇯🇵 Dai Yoshihara

Dai Yoshihara is a professional racing driver competing in national touring car and multiclass endurance series in the United States. He races for MMG in the IMSA Pilot Challenge, where he drives a TCR touring car shared with other drivers across endurance races, and previously raced solo touring cars for VGRT in TC America and TC competition. His FIA Bronze grade places him among amateur and gentleman drivers in endurance racing, though his record runs him against Silver-graded professionals.[1]

Yoshihara has won eight races across 26 starts since 2023. In TC America in 2023, driving for VGRT, he won four of ten races and took four podiums across a full season in the TCX class. He also raced two rounds of TC that year in the same car, winning both and taking two podiums. Since moving to IMSA Pilot Challenge endurance racing with MMG in 2024, he has taken two wins and six podiums across 14 starts in the TCR class, where he shares the car with professional co-drivers across four-hour races.[2]

In IMSA Pilot Challenge, Yoshihara finishes ahead of Bryson Morris, a 2021 Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series champion and fellow 2026 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR title-holder, more often than not. He has beaten Robert Wickens four times, a 2023 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion and 2011 Formula V8 3.5 champion with 31 starts in that formula. He regularly races Mason Filippi, the 2026 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, and typically finishes behind him; both drivers have 79 and 14 IMSA Pilot Challenge starts respectively. His two tour victories in solo touring cars in 2023 came in a field of semi-professional and entry-level professional competition within TC America and TC.
