Erick Zuniga is an entry-level professional who raced single-seater formula cars in national championships across Europe. He competed in ADAC Formula 4 in 2020 for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V., then moved to Italian F4 in 2021 with Mücke Motorsport, a team that has won 50 races and developed drivers including Lando Norris.[1]
Zuniga completed 33 starts across his two seasons. In ADAC Formula 4 he made 14 starts; in Italian F4 he contested a full season of 19 rounds and finished 17th in the championship standings. His best results came against established and elite professionals: he finished ahead of Oliver Bearman, the 2021 Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 champion, three times, and ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a generational talent who won both championships in 2022, also three times.[2]
Against his regular opponents in both series, Zuniga typically finished behind Joshua Dürksen, an established professional with Formula 2 experience, and Kirill Smal, a professional who has raced Formula Regional European. This placed him mid-field in grids that mixed amateurs and semi-professionals with graded professionals.
