Grant West is an entry-level professional racing in single-class and multiclass sprint championships in the United States and Canada. He drives Mazda MX-5 machinery, most recently competing in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup for Spark Performance; he has also spent six seasons in NASA's multiclass series, where he races both its Spec Miata class and Super Touring 5 class. His rating of 3,012 places him among drivers who compete regularly against a field spanning amateurs through to graded professionals but typically finish mid-pack in that company.[1]

West has raced nine seasons from 2018 onward, accumulating 90 starts across four series. His most substantial record comes in NASA, where he has taken eight wins and twenty podiums from forty-four starts since 2018. He joined the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup in 2023 and has forty starts there to date with Spark Performance; the current 2026 season is still in progress and he sits 22nd in the standings after eight rounds. He also holds one win and two podiums from four combined starts in SCCA competition in 2021 and 2022.[2]

West's regular opposition in the Whelen series includes Jared Thomas, a professional and FIA Silver-graded driver who is the two-time defending series champion; West usually finishes behind him. He races closely with Keith Williamson, a club-level regular across both NASA and the Whelen series. He has finished ahead of Earl Bamber, an established professional who won the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech GTLM championship, once in their meetings, and ahead of Jesse Love, an established professional with four ARCA and NASCAR Xfinity championships, on two occasions.
